How to download sites for offline use with Chrome for Android

Google Chrome Android

Google has rolled out a new feature that allows Android users to download websites in Chrome to view in their entirety later, even without an internet connection.

Previously, there have been similar options that only allow for the text from sites to be saved for later reading.

To take advantage of the new feature, users can long press on a link to open a pop-up menu.

The ‘download link’ option will then appear. If there is no connection available, Chrome can be told to download the story as soon as the phone is back online.

Saved stories can be accessed by through open tabs or by tapping the menu button and clicking ‘Downloads.’

The site-downloading feature is currently unavailable on iOS versions of Chrome.
