DxO Mark, one of the internet’s leading camera performance resources, has agreed to help OnePlus enhance the photography experience on its next smartphone, the OnePlus 5. Company employee Diego Heinz announced the news on the OnePlus community forums on Thursday morning.

OnePlus doesn’t provide too many details on the partnership. Presumably, however, DxO Mark will test the OnePlus 5’s cameras and offer suggestions on how to fine tune them.

“OnePlus has always been one of the leading innovators in the smartphone industry, and we are proud to partner with them and support their exciting mobile photography strategy,” said Etienne Knauer, senior vice-president of sales and marketing at DxO.

Starting with the Pixel, major smartphones have turned DxO Mark to help promote their latest smartphone cameras, often using their device’s DxO score as a talking point. In the most recent example of this, HTC announced that its new phone, the HTC U 11, earned a DxO Mobile score of 90, making it the new mobile camera leader, according to DxO’s rankings.
