Here’s a look at the video games launching in June

Plenty of video games are set to come out during the month of June.

If you’re a Tekken, Telltale, Elder Scrolls or Final Fantasy fan, there is definitely something for you this month. Moreover, with the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) around the corner, there’s the possibility that even more new titles will come out in June. We’ll keep you updated at MobileSyrup.

Formula Fusion full release (PC) — June 1st

Formula Fusion is a futuristic anti-gravity racing game developed by R8 Games. It’s currently only available on PC, with a PS4 and Xbox One release planned for later in the year. The game is $21.99 CAD on Steam.

Tekken 7 (PC, PS4, Xbox One) — June 2nd

Developed and Published by Bandai Namco, Tekken 7 is a fighting game and the ninth in the Tekken series — misleading given its name. This is the first game in the series to use the Unreal 4 engine. Tekken 7 is priced at $69.99 on PC, and $79.99 on the PS4 and Xbox One.

Drifting Lands (PC) — June 5th

Drifting Lands is a bullet mania horizontal game — think: Space Invaders but to the side. The game features RPG-like elements and is currently playable via an early access demo. When the game officially releases, it will be $20.99 on Steam.

Wipeout Omega Collection (PS4) — June 6th

The WipEout Omega Collection bundles together Wipeout HD, Wipeout HD Fury and Wipeout 2048, and enhances them for the PS4 and the PS4 Pro. The collection is priced at $49.99.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind (PC, PS4, Xbox One) — June 6th

Return to the land of the dark elves in the Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind. Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is a massively online multiplayer role playing game that features elements from Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls series games.

The Morrowind expansion allows players to visit Vvardenfell, the island that was featured predominately in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. The expansions is priced at $49.99 for players who already own the original game. If you haven’t picked up ESO yet, there’s also a complete bundle that includes both the base game and expansion for $79.99.

Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series – Episode 2 Under Pressure (PC, PS4, Xbox One, Mobile) – June 6th

Though not much is known about Episode 2, according to other reports it the game will look into the past life of Rocket Raccoon and feature the guardians searching the galaxy for ancient artifacts, similar to the previous game.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is by no means a new game, considering it was originally released in 1989. However, it was recently re-released on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PS4 and will launch on PC on June 8th. The game is a very cute 2D platformer that features an 8bit mode that calls back to the original release.

Dirt 4 (PC, PS4, Xbox One) – June 9th

Dirt 4 is an off-road racing game that offers two main gameplay modes. One is a simulation mode that attempts to help the player feel as if they’re really driving off the road.

The second is a gamer mode that allows players to cruise like in a normal racing game. Dirt 4 will cost $79.99 on PS4 and Xbox One and $66.06 on Steam.

Arms is a long armed boxing game for the Nintendo Switch that promises to be more accurate than the Nintendo Wii boxing game released several years ago. The game will be available for $79.99.

Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood, developed by Square Enix, is a MMORPG that takes place in one of the worlds within the Final Fantasy universe. Stormblood is another upgrade to the base game — in this case, Final Fantasy XIV Realm Reborn. The expansion is priced at $49.99.

Nex Machina (PC, PS4) — June 20th

Nex Machina, developed and published by Housemarque, is a top down bullet mania shooter. The point of the game is to save as many humans as possible while avoiding an onslaught of bullets. The game will cost $26.99 on PlayStation 4, and most likely the same or less on Steam.

Get Even (PC, PS4, Xbox One) — June 23rd

Get Even is a thriller, first player shooter, developed by Polish Studios and published by Bandai Namco. The game was slated to come out in May but due to the Manchester concert bombing, Bandai Namco decided to delay the game out of respect for the victims of the terrorist attack.

The Golf Club 2 (PC, PS4, Xbox One) — June 27th

The Gold Club 2 is a golfing game developed by HB Studios and published by Maximum Games. The game offers a single player career mode and online tournaments. It’s set to cost $49.99.

Valkyria Revolution is a JRPG game developed by Media Vision and published by Sega. The game, originally released in Japan, is set to come out in the West on PS4, Xbox One and PS Vita.

Neither the PlayStation Store nor the Xbox Marketplace have a Canadian price for the game yet, but given that it’s $39.99 on both U.S. stores, it’s likely Canadian consumers will end up paying 49.99 for the title.

    • Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (1-3 remasters) (PS4) – June 30th

Crash Bandicoot is coming back. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy includes remastered versions of three Crash Bandicoot games.

Besides featuring new high-definition graphics, each title in the trilogy plays at a smooth 60 frames per second. The entire package is priced at $54.99.
