Samsung might launch the Galaxy Note 8 in September, suggest rumours

Samsung Galaxy Note 7

While Samsung is likely celebrating the successful launch — and lack of associated safety concerns — of its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus devices, it seems the company is already prepping for the launch of the next big thing.

According to SamMobile, Samsung is planning on launching the Galaxy Note 8 at IFA — the Berlin Radio Show — in September.

Previous rumours, courtesy of The Korea Herald, suggested that the phone would be released in August.

There’s very little information known about the Galaxy Note 8’s tech specs, but rumours and leaks suggest that the device’s 6.3-inch display will make it one of Samsung’s biggest ‘phablets’ to date — tied with the Samsung Galaxy Mega.

A leaked schematic also suggest that the device will feature dual rear-facing cameras, as well as a rear fingerprint sensor.

The company no doubt also plans on including an edge-to-edge Infinity Display, as well as a Bixby button — much like on the Galaxy S8.
