HTC has tweeted reminding everybody about its upcoming event on November 2nd.

While nothing is new about the date, what’s interesting about the tweet is the picture behind the message. It showcases a HTC-branded smartphone with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor.

Many previous leaks and rumours have pointed towards the HTC U 11 Plus having a rear-facing fingerprint sensor due to the device having smaller bezels.

The tweet brings more validity to the previous images that have surfaced online through TENAA, the Chinese variant to the FCC.

Rumours indicate HTC’s U11 Plus will have a 6-inch display with a 2880 x 1440 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.

Additionally, it’s expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with 4GB or 6GB of RAM, either 64GB or 128GB of storage, a 12-megapixel rear facing camera and a 8-megapixel front facing camera.

Moreover, the U11 Plus will likely feature IP68-rated water resistance.

HTC will unveil its newest product on November 2nd, but it’s currently unclear if it will come to Canada, especially since HTC Canada has not tweeted anything regarding the announcement.

We here at MobileSyrup will provide more Canadian information about the rumoured U11 Plus when it becomes available.
