Someone is actually selling the iPhone X for $5,000 on eBay in Canada

iPhone X re-selling season has begun.

Mere hours after iPhone X pre-orders went live worldwide, enterprising re-sellers are already listing the phone for ridiculous amounts of money. Perhaps you’d assume someone was listing the device for double its standard $1,319 CAD price tag?

Well, you’re wrong, someone in Canada is actually selling the device for $5,000 on eBay. A quick glance at Kijiji reveals prices ranging between $1,700 and $4,000.

If you think that’s bad, in other areas of the world, there are listings for the iPhone X going all the way up to $60,000 USD for the 256GB version, which is an even more insane amount of money than the Canadian listing.

While stock is expected to be in short supply for the iPhone X due to manufacturing shortage issues related to the device’s display and Face ID module, pre-orders were only pushed back five to six weeks in some cases.

iPhone X pre-orders went live last night at 3:01am ET/12:01 PT in the Apple Store.
