BlackBerry Motion launches in Canada, available at Bell, Telus, Koodo and SaskTel

The TCL-made BlackBerry Motion is now available in Canada.

Canadians can purchase the device from carriers Bell, Telus, Koodo and SaskTel.

  • Bell Pricing: $99 CAD on a 2- year premium plan; $599.00 CAD outright
  • TELUS Pricing: $100 CAD on a 2-year premium plan; $605.00 CAD outright
  • Koodo Pricing: $100 CAD on a Tab Large plan; $605.00 CAD outright
  • SaskTel Pricing:$99 CAD on a 2-year premium plan; $599.99 CAD outright.

The Motion is the second TCL-made BlackBerry to come to Canada, following the BlackBerry KeyONE‘s launch in May 2017.

Unlike the KEYone, the BlackBerry Motion is an all-touch device, featuring a 5.5-inch scratch resistant display. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 chip, 4GB RAM, a 4,000mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 support (USB-C), and boasts a 12-megapixel camera with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

The phone is also the first BlackBerry to be water- or dust-resistant, with an IP67 rating.

The device runs Android 7.1 Nougat, and BlackBerry promises that the phone will receive an Android 8.0 Oreo upgrade sometime in the future. However, TCL hasn’t specified when the Oreo update will arrive.
