Bell MTS to launch VoLTE calling in December

Manitoba regional carrier Bell MTS will launch support for VoLTE early next month, a Bell spokesperson has confirmed to MobileSyrup.

The spokesperson did not specific launch timing details.

Short for Voice over Long-Term Evolution, VoLTE is the next-generation voice calling standard. The benefits of VoLTE calling include clearer, more human-sounding voices, faster connection times and continuous LTE data availability.

Bell MTS parent company Bell currently offers VoLTE calling to both Android and iPhone users in certain areas of Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic Canada, British Columbia, the Northwest Territories and the Yukon.
