Frequent Loblaws customers will be able to pick up a Freedom Mobile smartphone in future visits to the popular grocery chain.

Shaw announced today as part of its Q2 2018 earnings report that The Mobile Shop, Loblaw’s mobile phone kiosk chain, is selling Freedom Mobile handsets and service plans as of this month.

The Mobile Shop will sell Freedom Mobile smartphones at 100 of its approximately 180 locations across Canada. As a result of the partnership, Canadian consumers will find Freedom Mobile handsets sold alongside devices from Bell, Telus and Rogers when they visit The Mobile Shop.

A few of the locations selling Freedom’s services are already listed on The Mobile Shop’s website.

MobileSyrup has reached out to both Shaw and Loblaws for comment on the new partnership. We’ll update this article when the companies respond.
