These cards can last up to five years

The latest line of Samsung Pro Endurance micro SD cards are built to last a lot longer than the average SD card.

For users who want a little more reassurance in their data storage, Samsung has added a line of micro SD cards that can handle around five years of continuous video.

The cards can operate with up to 100mbps read speeds for full high definition recording and 30mbps write speeds for 4K video.

The Pro Endurance cards are available in three sizes, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. The largest size is backed by a five-year warranty, the smaller sizes include three years and two years respectively.

Like many other microSD cards, the Pro Endurance cards are waterproof, temperature proof and X-ray resistant.

The cards went on sale in the U.S. today for $30 USD ($38.50 CAD) for the 32GB version, $50 USD ( $64 CAD) 64GB and $100 USD ($128 CAD)for the largest 128GB.

The cards are not currently available in Canada but, we’ve reached out to Samsung to see if they’re coming up north.
