Google drops Android’s May 2018 security patch for Pixel and Nexus devices

With I/O 2018 just one day away, Google has dropped the latest Android security patch for Pixel and Nexus devices.

Factory images and OTA files for Android 8.1 Oreo are now available to download for the Google Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X.

There are also two versions of the update available for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, though its unclear what the actual difference between both devices is right now, according to Android Authority.

Google has also released its Android Security Bulletin for May 2018 revealing all the security vulnerabilities that have been patched this past month.

Other updates include a Pixel/Nexus Security Bulletin for May detailing an update that improves multi-touch detection on all Pixel and Nexus devices.
