The mobile app for Canada’s oldest bank now supports mobile cheque deposits.
Bank of Montreal (BMO) customers can now use the bank’s iOS or Android apps to snap a photo of a cheque and automatically deposit it into their accounts.
All users need to do is sign into their accounts, tap the ‘Move $’ icon and select the ‘Deposit a Cheque’ camera icon.
The app will prompt users to input the cheque’s monetary value.
Users will then need to select the appropriate account and take a photo of the front and back of the cheque.
The BMO Mobile Banking app is free-to-download on both iOS and Android.
