I find myself unable to enter into this article any way but directly — luxury retailer Ssense is selling a $6,450 USD pair of BDSM headphones that essentially put a leather cage around your face.
It is called the Arca Edition Tormenta Cage Headphone Head Piece and is the result of a collaboration with Venezuelan DJ Arca.
The headgear features two leather straps, one that covers the ears and includes suede-covered ear pads, and another that goes across the top of the head and over the face (room for the nose is built in, as is a mouthpiece with a metal ring). Adjustable leather straps also cover the eyes, bind across the mouth and form a leather choker around the neck.

Adding to the constraint, these are wired headphones, so the user can’t just run around willy nilly in their leather head piece.
SSENSE says it is selling this Tormenta Cage headphone set only as an art object, and won’t provide any guarantees or warranty, so think carefully before you hit that purchase button. Then again, there’s only one left, according to Ssense, so better not take too long to consider.
The company also sells just the leather headpiece, sans headphones, for $5,275 USD.
Verdict: Not sticky.
I’ll admit, I know little about leather gear for BDSM, but I think we can all agree that this is objectively an obscene amount of dollars.
In fact, I went as far as to open an incognito window in Chrome and browse leather cage masks — there are plenty in the $100 to $300 range that would seem to do the trick. Or you could begin learning the noble art of leather-working for yourself and make a fully custom Tormenta Cage head piece with room for the headphones of your choice.
I guess what I’m saying is, this cage mask is a scam. Unless you just want to use it as art in your home, in which case, we get it, you’re rich and kinky.
