Upcoming Xbox update to allow saving of multiple Wi-Fi passwords, Group folders for organizing games

Xbox One console

Microsoft has unveiled its latest update for members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring, bringing with it new features and bug fixes.

To start, the update builds on the ‘Pin’ system of favouriting games and apps by allowing users to add Pinned content into Groups for easier access. Previously, items that were Pinned could only be viewed individually.

It will be easier to discover new content as well thanks to the ability to press ‘Y’ in the dashboard to bring up the search bar.

The update also brings support for multiple Wi-Fi passwords to be saved at once, making it easier for those who carry their Xbox One consoles to connect to the internet. Prior to this update, the Nintendo Switch was the only current-generation console to offer this feature.

The Preview is now available to Alpha testers, while a public update will be rolled out to all users sometime in June.

A number of game DVR and Microsoft Edge-related bugs were also fixed in the update.

A full breakdown of all new features and fixes can be found on the Xbox Wire.

The latest Xbox system update, which rolled out on May 17th, added the ability to link Discord and Xbox Live accounts and improved refreshed rate for monitors, among other new features.
