Latest Android security patch moves ‘About Phone’ sub-setting location

A small visual tweak makes learning about your device even easier

Google’s February Android security update is rolling out now with one small visual tweak for some Android owners.

Users are reporting noticing Google has lifted the ‘About Phone’ menu out of the ‘System’ panel and placed on the main Settings screen instead.

Android Police confirmed this change is present in all Google Pixel devices, but it’s unclear if it will also make its way to third-party smartphone manufacturers that heavily skin Android.

Either way, the slight change makes it a little easier to access your device’s IMEI number and other statistics
