Bell is planning to phase out its MobileTV service over the next year and a half.
MobileTV was available as an add-on for Bell Mobility customers, but according to reader reports, is no longer available. MobileTV reportedly isn’t available with any plan or as an add-on in Bell’s self-serve app, MyBell.
A customer service representative reportedly confirmed to readers that the add-on had been removed.
However, a Bell spokesperson confirmed to MobileSyrup that, while it was planning to wind down its MobileTV service, it would continue to be available to existing customers. The add-on will no longer be available for new customers.
Further, Bell says it provides several options for customers to view TV content on their mobile devices. This includes Fibe TV, Alt TV and Crave, among other Bell Media apps for CTV, TSN, RDS, CTV News and CP24.
