LCBO remains open and you can order online for home delivery [Update]

The crown corp is proactively planning for increased demand

If you’re in Ontario and concerned you won’t be able to get your hands on alcoholic beverages, don’t worry because the LCBO has your back.

In a recent statement, the crown corporation LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) announced that during the COVID-19 outbreak its stores will “remain open for business” and that it is “proactively planning for increased demand.”

To assist you through this process, the LCBO notes that you can visit one of its locations or order online for in-store pick-up — or better yet, have your purchase delivered directly to your home for next-day delivery.

In addition, if you require an immediate fix, the LCBO highlighted its partnership with Foodora for same-day delivery.

Update – March 17: The LCBO has updated its stance on COVID-19, stating it will be reducing its store hours. Effective Thursday, March 19th, the hours of operation will be from 11:00am to 6:00pm every day.

Update – March 24: In another statement, the LCBO announced that it will be closing on Mondays, effective March 30th. Stores will be open Tuesday to Sunday with reduced hours of 11:00am to 6:00pm. Online orders will still be available through its store and Foodora.
