6 months of CBC Gem Premium available for $1 during Black Friday promotion

To commemorate Black Friday and the holiday season, CBC is offering a six-month promotion on its premium streaming service. Available now, Canadians can subscribe to CBC Gem Premium for only $1 per month for six months.

A discounted CBC Gem Premium subscription is available during Black Friday using the promo code ‘HOLIDAY6U’. When using the code at checkout, the first six months of the subscription will be granted with savings of $4.99 each month. Traditionally, CBC Gem Premium is available for a monthly cost of $5.99. Thus, during Black Friday, save close to $30 on six months of the service.

CBC Gem Premium is the higher-end tier of CBC’s subscription service. With Premium, you can gain access to on-demand ad-free streaming. Plus, you’re able to stream CBC News Network, an exclusive perk compared to the standard tier. Shows available on CBC Gem Premium include Poker Face, Luther, and Wild Cards.

CBC’s streaming service is available to use on Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung and LG displays, Xbox, Roku and more. Not that streaming is limited to 1080p.

To apply the ‘HOLIDAY6U’ promo code, CBC notes that it must be redeemed on the website using a web browser.
