Several Canadian wireless providers have listed December 2nd as the end date for Black Friday deals.
So far, I’ve spotted end dates on plans and deals from Koodo, Fido, Public Mobile, Virgin Plus, Rogers, and Telus. While not every provider has listed an end date, I would expect that come tomorrow, most will have removed their Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals regardless — the Big Three and their flanker brands tend to move in lockstep.
It’s not clear what exactly will happen, but I would expect plans and phone prices to increase as deals end. However, if you miss out on this round of deals, you can look forward to Boxing Week as the next set of sales. In previous years, carriers brought back deals for Boxing Week, though it’s no guarantee that there will be better deals or that the same sales will return.
So with that in mind, if there’s a Black Friday sale you want to take advantage of, you may want to do it today before the deals disappear tomorrow.
