Xreal has announced its new augmented reality (AR) glasses, the Xreal One and Xreal One Pro. The Xreal One series creates a spatial display for the wearer from nearly any device. The Xreal One series can connect to any computing device with USB-C and allows users to introduce a fully customizable cinematic virtual screen, which you can control with the glasses themselves.
The Xreal One series offers native next-generation three degrees-of-freedom (3DoF) spatial computing using a spatial co-processing chip built into the glasses. Additionally, the Xreal One series features improved support for various interpupillary distance ranges, multiple TUV Rheinland eye health certifications and even offers Sound by Bose for audio.
The Xreal One works with iPhones, Androids, Steam Deck, Windows PCs, MacBooks, or just about anything that can provide video output over USB-C. It allows users to get a stable virtual screen and anchor it anywhere they choose in a 3D space.
The device’s built-in X1 co-processor also delivers a low motion-to-photon (M2P) latency of 3ms at 120Hz for a smooth and stable anchored or floating spatial screen without visual blur or image lag. It can also provide 1080p output for each eye at any angle with a 50-degree field of view.
The Xreal isn’t available in Canada, but you can pick it up from the U.S. for $499 ($791 CAD).
