Today is Bell Let’s Talk Day.
It’s the company’s 15th year doing Let’s Talk Day and this time around, Bell is putting the spotlight on the youth mental health crisis.
Moreover, Bell shifted its approach to donations this year. The company is running a national “text-to-donate” campaign — Canadians can donate $5 by texting ‘YOUTH’ to 45678. Bell says it will match every $5 donation made up to a total of $1 million.
All proceeds will go to six youth mental health organizations:
- Integrated Youth Services
- Jack.org
- Kids Help Phone
- National Association of Friendship Centres
- Strongest Families Institute
- Youth in Mind Foundation
On top of that, Bell pledged a $10 million donation toward mental health, similar to what it did last year with a capped $10 million donation.
