During the first Pokémon Presents of 2025, we learned that Pokémon Legends: Z-A will launch in late 2025. The event also showed a trailer revealing the return of Mega Evolutions, some beloved Pokémon, and the new starters that your trainer will use in this region.
This time, the starters will be Totodile, Chikorita, and Tepig. This is incredibly interesting, considering Totodile and Chikorita are both from generation two, and Tepig is from generation five.
There’s a Pokémon Legends: Arceus-style of catching mechanic and a new type of battling that allows you to dodge and use attacks in real-time.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a new adventure in Lumiose City, where an urban redevelopment plan is reshaping the city into a place that’s for both Pokémon and people.
Alongside the announcement, we learned that Pokémon Concierge season two is coming to Netflix this September. Pokémon Unite is also getting Suicune, Alolan Raichu, and Alcremie, as well as a completely new type of game called Pokémon Champions.
