Telus is now offering 100GB of non-sharable data with speeds up to 250Mbps for $49 monthly. 250Mbps might seem a lot less than the other plans that offer 1Gbps, but it’s definitely enough, even for mobile gaming.
The B.C.-based carrier’s plan includes nationwide data, talk, text, and unlimited international messaging. It’s also limited to bring-your-own-phone (BYOP) customers. Users can redeem three months of Stream+ Premium for $15 per month. Telus’ Stream+ offers Disney+ Premium, Amazon Prime ad-supported and Netflix Premium, and is typically for $43 per month.
These plans also include access to the Telus 5G network. If you go over your 100GB of data, your speed will drop to 512Kbps, but you can keep using data at the slower speed. It’s worth mentioning that the plan is $54 per month if you don’t have pre-authorized payments set up.

Notably, Telus has a similar $60/100GB plan with faster 1Gbps data speeds that drops to $45 for customers who bundle with Telus home internet. So if you’ve got Telus internet, that’s probably the better option.
Bell and Rogers also have $45/100GB plans for internet subscribers. All three carriers also offer 200GB of data in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico for $75 per month, but Telus’ version is available to BYOP customers, while Bell and Rogers limit their $75/200GB plans to internet subscribers.
In recent news, Telus is offering buyouts to 700 employees across Canada because of the investments it made to enhance its infrastructure.
