Public Mobile is launching a contest for a vacation package for two to Cancún, Mexico, valued at up to $8,000. The prize includes round-trip flights from major Canadian airports and a five-night stay at a hotel in Cancún.
The entry period is from now until April 8 at 9 a.m. EST, and new customers can enter by subscribing to Public Mobile’s Canada/U.S./Mexico plans on its website. Existing Public Mobile customers will receive an SMS from Public Mobile letting them know they’re eligible to participate and subscribe by March 18th at 6:59 p.m. EST.
It’s a little unclear what to do if you already have a Canada/U.S./Mexico plan; it seems like you’ll receive a text and just enter through the text, as you’re already “subscribing” to the plan, but we’ve reached out to Public Mobile for clarification.
However, you don’t have to be a Public Mobile customer to enter. You can also write a handwritten essay with a minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 600 words that explains to Public Mobile why you want to go on a trip to Mexico. Essay entries must be written legibly and contain “Public Mobile Mexico Trip Contest,” your name, complete address, daytime phone number and email. Mail the entry to ATTN: TELUS PUBLIC MOBILE CONTEST FLOOR 28, 25 York Street, Toronto ON, M5J 2V5. Mailed-in entries have to be received before the end of business day on April 18.
A draw will be held on April 24, and the entrant will be informed by phone number or e-mail.
