Netflix has rolled out HDR10+ support to select devices.
This format uses dynamic metadata to improve upon HDR10 with greater visual fidelity on a per-frame basis, especially for darker images. Netflix has specifically added it to devices that support the AV1 codec, which has been around since 2018. You’ll also need a $23.99/month Netflix Premium membership for HDR support.
To illustrate the HDR10+ difference, Netflix shared the following two images:

HDR10.

HDR10+. The flashlight detail is better preserved here vs. with HDR10.
Netflix says it’s added HDR10+ support to both new releases and existing popular HDR titles, although it didn’t mention any specific ones. It says it aims to add HDR10+ to all HDR titles by the end of the year.
Outside of HDR10 and HDR10+, Netflix also features Dolby Vision on supported devices.
