If you need a new phone plan in Canada, you should really look at Freedom Mobile. The carrier has been on a huge upswing over the past few years and due to free Canadian data roaming, it has some of the best coverage in the country.
The new discount can be paired with a $35 Canada-U.S.-Mexico plan, which includes 60GB of data and various other perks. There are more expensive plans, but I’d recommend this one for 99 per cent of people because it has a great price-to-data ratio.
To be clear, this plan is $35 because of the $4 bring your own phone discount and the $5 digital discount. So as long as you don’t buy a phone from Freedom and you auto-pay online, you’ll maintain this price.
If you need more data, there are other plans ranging up to $55 that include 100GB of data and include watch or tablet data.
