The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is the company’s newest smartphone. While we’ve had the chance to go hands-on with the phone, I haven’t been able to review it due to needing the device set up for review.
Samsung provided a unit on May 23, and I hoped to do a one-week look at the handset before a full review; however, the unit I received wasn’t ready for review.
Unfortunately, proper review samples had been delayed. However, I played around with the unit I received and took pictures. I’ll share more details after I get a review unit on Monday.
Due to this, I did not push the handset to its limits and test out the one thing everyone wants to know about: the battery. I did try out some other things, including the camera, and also spent time playing games with the S25 Edge trying out Marvel Snap and using the device with the Backbone Pro to play Devolver Digital’s reverse horror game, Carrion.
I mentioned this in my hands-on, but I love how light and thin the handset is and using it with the Backbone Pro was great, considering you don’t experience much extra weight aside from the controller. I’d like to spend more time using the S25 Edge and pushing it to its limits, but the handset seems to run incredibly smoothly.
We were told we’ll receive a new unit on Monday, so keep an eye out for a full review of the device and some battery updates in a few weeks. Until then, take a look at some of these pictures I took:
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is now available in Canada. The 512GB storage/12GB RAM model is available for the price of the 256GB storage variant on the company’s website.
