At long last, Microsoft unveiled its long-rumoured Xbox-branded Asus PC gaming handheld during Xbox Game Showcase 2025.

Notably, it will come in two versions: the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X.
Specs for the ROG Xbox Ally include:

- 512GB of storage
- 7” FHD (1080p) IPS, 500 nits, 16:9
- 120Hz refresh rate
- 60Wh battery
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with DisplayPort 2.1/Power Delivery 3.0
- 670g (weight)
Meanwhile, specs for the ROG Xbox Ally X include:
- AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme
- 24GB of memory
- 1TB of storage
- 7” FHD (1080p) IPS, 500 nits, 16:9
- 120Hz refresh rate
- 80Wh battery
- 1x USB4 Type-C with DisplayPort 2.1/Power Delivery 3.0, Thunderbolt 4 compatible
- 715g (weight)
Both devices will feature Xbox-branded buttons and Impulse Triggers. On top of that, it will allow you download games for native play or stream them through Xbox Game Pass’ Cloud Gaming. In total, the more than 1,000 Xbox Play Anywhere titles that work across Xbox consoles and PC.
Xbox says the two ROG devices are launching this holiday in many markets, including Canada, with the highly-anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong being available on it (including Game Pass) on day one.
Pricing for ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X has yet to be revealed. In a blog post, Xbox said details on “pricing, compatible accessories, and pre-orders” will be confirmed “in the coming months.”
