At WWDC 25, Apple announced visionOS 26. And no, you’re not in a time machine and skipping ahead over 20 years. Apple is skipping ahead to visionOS 26 to align it with all the other platforms.
With visionOS 26, the persona feature gets a lot better, with hair, eyelashes, and more getting more details. You can even pick from glasses with more than 1,000 variations.
visionOS 26 allows you to share what you see with others wearing Vision Pro headsets. This feature is called Enhanced Shared Spatial Experiences, letting you watch a movie in 3D together, play a spatial game, or collaborate with coworkers.
visionOS 26 also has profile features that let you set your hand and eye information and attach it to your profile.
Widgets like clock faces are coming to visionOS. You can anchor widgets in your world, and the Vision Pro will remember where you’ve put them, so they’re always there. This lets you essentially decorate your spaces with your favourite widgets, and you can include spatial photos.

visionOS 26 also makes spatial images even more realistic by using AI and computational depth to create spatial scenes that you can look at from multiple perspectives. You can look at spatial scenes in Photos, the Spatial Gallery app and even Safari. Safari has spatial browsing so you can transform articles, hide distractions and show off spatial scenes that come to life while scrolling.
Other new features include support for PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers for games. Apple is also making Vision Pro work better for businesses with enterprise APIs and tools. For example, the headset now supports the Logitech Muse, a spatial stylus for marking up 3D digital models.
Further, visionOS 26 will get more Apple Intelligence features, a look to scroll feature, redesigned Control Center, the ability to unlock an iPhone while wearing the Vision Pro, and more.
Apple is launching a developer beta for visionOS 26 today, but did not share if or when a public beta would become available. The company also details what’s new in visionOS 26 on its website.
