Rogers and its flanker brand Fido have raised their connection fee to $80.
This is the second time in 12 months that the fee has gone up. In July 2024, it went from $60 to $70, and this past February, it rose again to $75. Rogers still waives the fee if you order online.

In May, Bell raised its connection fee to $75. Telus, for its part, still charges $70. It remains to be seen when these carriers will inevitably increase their respective fees. It’s worth noting that Freedom charges a $45 connection fee, which last went up in 2021.
In other Rogers news, the carrier just took away a 25GB data bonus and then raised plan prices by $5/month. And if you’re on Rogers’ 3G plans, you should look out for a $75 charge.
