PlayStation is working on smoothing the process of using its DualSense controller on multiple devices.
In a PlayStation Blog post, the company confirmed that the latest PS5 system update beta is introducing the option to pair a DualSense to more than one device at a time. This means that those who use the controller on PS5, PC and/or mobile will be able to jump between all of these platforms. The existing DualSense connectivity requires it to be manually re-paired every time you switch between devices.
The feature, which is now available to those in the PS5 system update beta program, allows you to assign devices different slots using the action buttons (triangle, circle, cross, square). Once paired, you can then switch between connected devices by pressing the PS button and the assigned action button. A thorough breakdown of this process is available on the PS Blog.
The feature is now available to those in the PS5 system update beta program. Additionally, PlayStation says a new “Power Saver” mode to reduce energy consumption is coming to the beta at a later date.
