Starlink users in Canada and around the world have been unable to access the internet since 3:30 p.m. ET on July 24.
The company’s website has a banner at the top that reads, “Starlink is currently experiencing a service outage. Our team is investigating.” At 4:00 p.m. ET, Starlink posted on Twitter that it was implementing a solution. According to Downdetector, there were fewer reports of the outage at 4:30 p.m. ET than an hour ago, so it seems like the fix might be getting some users back online.
Starlink is currently in a network outage and we are actively implementing a solution. We appreciate your patience, we’ll share an update once this issue is resolved.

That said, the company has yet to confirm that the issue causing the outage has been dealt with.
Outages are rare for Starlink, and this is its first major outage in 2025. It’s currently unclear if this also knocked out the satellite-to-cell network that Starlink provides to Rogers for its new satellite service offering.
