A leak has surfaced online showcasing a potential antenna redesign for the iPhone 17 Pro.
This leak was posted to X (Twitter) by well-known leaker Majin Bu. It shows repositioned antenna lines on the iPhone 17 Pro, which now go around the rear camera bump.
Majin Bu went into more detail about the redesign in a blog post linked in his post on X (Twitter). In this, he mentioned that the antenna placement on the 17 Pro was similar to that found on the Apple Watch Ultra, designed to maximize reception and signal stability on the device.
The 17 Pro’s redesigned antennas aim to reduce interference while enhancing the device’s connectivity to 5G and Wi-Fi 7. The antennas are positioned around the camera bump because the area is less likely to experience interference or external blocking, ensuring a more stable connection and better performance in “congested environments.”
We can’t confirm the validity of these leaks, and with Majin Bu’s inconsistent track record, it’s in your best interest to take them with a grain of salt as you wait for Apple’s official reveal of the iPhone 17 line in September.
