Freedom Mobile adds 5G, raises prices of prepaid annual plans

Some plans increase by $10 but got 10GB more data

Freedom Mobile has increased the prices of its prepaid annual wireless prices, but now they include more data and run on 5G+ instead of LTE.

The basic $99/year plan hasn’t changed, aside from now including 5G connectivity. This plan includes unlimited talk, unlimited incoming text messages, outgoing texts cost $0.05 per message, and $15 per 1GB of add-on data.

The $129/year plan (used to be $119/15GB) and now offers 20GB of 5G data per year, and unlimited text and talk. And lastly, the $159/year plan (used to be $149/30GB) now offers 40GB of 5G data and unlimited talk and text. These changes were first spotted by iPhone in Canada.

Recently, Freedom expanded its network to include Chatham-Kent, Ridgetown, Wallaceburg, Dresden and more.
