Ultra-thin smartphones are the latest craze in the smartphone world. From Samsung releasing the Galaxy S25 Edge early this year, to Apple launching the iPhone Air, thin is in. Now, Motorola appears to be entering the fray, as a new leak suggests that the company is working on its own slim smartphone.
Notable tech leaker Evan Blass (evleaks) shared an image of what is called the Moto Edge 70 on Twitter/X, which appears to promote the slim aspect of the device with the slogan “What’s your edge?” The leaked advertising material also says “impossibly thin and incredibly tough,” and shows the side of the phone.

As Android Police points out, the Moto Edge 60 was only 7.9mm thick, and the Edge 70 will most likely be significantly slimmer. For context, the recently released iPhone Air is only 5.6mm, while the S25 Edge is 5.8mm.
Interestingly, the phone’s design appears to be plastic and it appears to have a quad-camera setup on the top-left of the back of the phone, with a textured finish that is shown in green, complemented by a very light green on the buttons. Good news for AI fans, the device appears to feature the Moto AI key on the left-hand side.
There’s no official word on when the Moto Edge 70 will launch, or the specs for the device. However, the material that Evan Blass shared looked to be quite polished, so it might not be long before we see more details about Motorola’s upcoming device.
