Fort Chipewyan (population 915) left without long distance and 911 service

Telus is working fixing a faulty piece of telephone equipment that has made long-distance and 911 service calls unavailable in Fort Chipewyan, Alberta (population 915).  Municipal spokesman Tyran Ault said “We were informed yesterday about the disruption… They’re still working on the problem right now.”
