City of Toronto launches 311 service for non-emergency info

311torontoThe City of Toronto has launched a new service that gives residents access to non-emergency information. 311 Toronto can be called and a customer service rep will answer calls and resolve and questions you may have that relate to Toronto. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and available in 180 languages. Also, TTY service for the hearing impaired is also available.

If you’re outside the city you can dial 416-392-CITY (2489) to get connected to the service.

Mayor David Miller stated “This is a pivotal day for customer service for the City of Toronto. Residents and businesses are entitled to easy access to City services and programs. 311 Toronto ensures that every resident and business has direct access to a person at the City who can help – 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
