RIM has launched the “Built For BlackBerry Program” – basically bringing on select manufacturers that are approved to develop accessories and peripherals for their Smartphones and the upcoming PlayBook. RIM says this “truly inspired collaboration” includes well known brands such as Case-mate, Speck, Incipio, Otterbox, Tru Protection, iGrip, Vaja, Dicota and Trexta. Similar to Apple, these brands will have a “Build for BlackBerry” logo on their packaging.
