Live from Motorola’s “next big innovation” event (Droid RAZR)


The “next big innovation” from Motorola is almost ready to be unveiled, although it’s most likely they heavily leaked Droid RAZR that has surfaced over the past couple weeks. I’m sitting in New York City at the press event and the good news is that whatever they will be showed off will be coming to Canada.

Update: Motorola has announced the MotoACTV, an iPod Nano/Nike + combo and is the “ultimate fitness player”, has a 600MHz processor, weighs 35 grams, has a built-in Heart rate monitor, Capacitive touchscreen and runs Android. You’ll be able to store up to 4,000 songs and also has an FM radio. This will be available in the States, no word on Canada, November 6th in 2 versions: 8GB: $249 & 16G: $299.

Update #2: The Droid RAZR is official. Still waiting on a Canadian availability but the specs are:
– 4.3″ super AMOLED LED qHD display
– Has
– 7.1mm thin
– Dual core 1.2GHz processor
– 1GB RAM
– 8 Megapixel camera 1080p HD camera.
– 1800 mAh battery – 12.5hrs of talk time and 8.9 hours of video playback

Update 3: No word on a Canadian release yet, but in the United States this is being released on Verizon, pre-orders to start on October 27th and officially launching in November. $299 on a 2-year.
