Bell LG Optimus LTE Android 4.0 firmware leaks out prior to official release

This is interesting. We recently told you that Bell’s Optimus LTE update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich was pushed back until August, but it seems the actual software is ready to go if this leaked file is to be believed.

An XDA-Developer member has found an official update file on the company’s servers, addressing the Bell model in particular. It’s in the form of a .KDZ file and can only be activated using LG’s proprietary Windows-based software. I’ve never used the program and from the looks of it the procedure is quite complicated, so venture with care.

Take a look at this XDA-Developer thread for more details and let us know how it works for you.
