CyanogenMOD 10.1 with Android 4.2.1 teased for Galaxy S III and Xperia T

Times are good for the custom ROM crowd. Over the past few days a lot of work has been done to bring Android 4.2.1 to non-Nexus devices, namely Samsung’s Galaxy S III line and the Sony Xperia T. Both devices run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 processor and have fairly robust developer communities behind them.

Steve Kondik, Cyanogen himself, took to Google+ to show off the About screen on his T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III which is hardware-identical to the Rogers/Bell/Telus and Wind/Mobilicity versions (except for LTE support).

The Xperia T is also quite developer-friendly, provided you can unlock its bootloader. The Canadian version, sold by Rogers and Bell, have yet to be bootloader-unlocked but that isn’t to say it won’t be very soon.

While nightlies are not yet available, it should only be a matter of days before they hit your local CM10.1 repository.
