Reuters: Samsung Galaxy S IV might launch in April and have an “unbreakable screen”

It’s innevitable that we’ll see Samsung release a follow-up to the incredibly popular Samsung Galaxy S III. That’s just how the industry and technology flows. Bigger, thinner and more powerful.

Reuters has now jumped on board the rumour train and sourced unnamed “analysts and tech blogs” stating that Samsung will unveil their new flagship Galaxy smartphone, internally called ‘Project J’ after head of its mobile division JK Shin, as early as April 2013. That is one month ahead of when the GS III was announced. The only other new piece of info in the report is that they believe the GS IV could come with an “unbreakable screen.” Perhaps we’ll see them incorporate Corning’s upcoming “Willow Glass.”

Rumoured specs of the GS IV have it running Android (potentially Key Lime Pie), larger display at 5-inches with a 441 pixels per inch (ppi), a quad-core processor and a 13-megapixel camera.

Of course, all this is a rumour until Samsung comes out with an official announcement.
