Dropbox beta for Android adds album creation, multiple photo uploads and in-app updates

Dropbox for Android has seen quite a few visual and usability improvements over the past few months. From automatic photo uploads in the background to more versatile file management, the app is just about perfect for most users. All it needs is a tablet version, but that’s a story for another day.

The team behind the Android app has released beta version 2.2.2.8, introducing photo album creation, multiple photo sharing, and multiple photo deletion. Basically this is yet another phot0-focused feature update (see a trend?).

There’s also another important feature included, one that we have taken for granted with Plume, an excellent Twitter client, and separates Android from iOS in a big way. The team has added opt-in beta updates from within the app. This means that if you’d rather stay on the beta track — living on the edge and so on — you can do so without periodically checking the beta forum.

If you’re interested in testing the future of Dropbox for Android, head to the company’s beta forum for a full changelog and download links.
