Google Play Movies for iOS now lets you download content for offline playback

Google has offered its Play Movies & TV app on iPhones and iPads since January, but today has updated it to allow for offline playback.

A small but significant improvement, the move allows users to temporarily store content for periods without connectivity, much like they can do on Android. Unfortunately, Google still wants you to buy content on an Android device or the web, avoiding Apple’s requisite 30% cut.

The update also includes bug fixes and performance improvements.
