Skype adds doodling functionality to Windows Phone app

Skype

Skype was acquired by Microsoft back in 2011 so it’s about time that Windows Phone users get a whiff of what the Skype team has been working on. Hot on the heels of the launch of its Qik app, the Skype team has announced an update to its Windows Phone app that will add doodling functionality to the VoIP and IM app.

Skype 2.24 is compatible with Windows Phone 8 and 8.1. It brings sign-in improvements, support for HD displays, and faster app resume time along with the hero feature of the update, the ability to send hand-drawn pictures to your contacts.

All you have to do to send a picture is hit the plus icon in the chat window and select drawing. This will bring up a simple, MS Paint-like image editor where you can select colour as well as the brush stroke.

Download Skype on the Windows Phone Store.
