Chrome Remote Desktop now available for iPhone and iPad

About eight months ago, Google released an app that allowed Android users to access their computer from their phone or tablet. Dubbed Chrome Remote Desktop, the company promised an iOS version of the app later in the year.

Google may have just missed the window by a few weeks but the company this week made Chrome Remote Desktop available for iPhone and iPad users. Users can use the machine to access either their PC or Mac.

Released today, the app is available for download via iTunes and requires iOS 7 and up. All you have to do is download the app and then set up Remote Access using the desktop version of the app (available via the Chrome Web Store). To connect to your computer you’ll need to enter in a pin code but after that, you’ll enjoy secure, free access to your computer via your iPhone.
