Google VP confirms “imminent” launch of Inbox for Google Apps users

Inbox

Though Google has been working hard to increase support for its new email app across multiple platforms, Inbox for Gmail still isn’t widely available for everyone to use. Like OnePlus, Google is still using the invite system that was in place at launch.

Though we don’t know when that will end for regular users, Google Apps users will soon have access to a special version of Google’s newest productivity tool. Speaking via Twitter, Google’s Senior VP of Android, Chrome & Apps confirmed that Inbox would be rolling out to Google Apps customers “imminently.”

The news is positive for Google Apps users, which PCWorld reported in December were desperate for access to Inbox. Demand from Google Apps customers apparently had Google “scrambling” to release a version that was compatible with the other demands that come along with those accounts.
