Grim Fandango Remastered arrives on iOS and Android

Grim Fandango

One of the greatest adventure games ever created, Grim Fandango, has finally made its way to mobile devices.

The game was originally released on October 30, 1998. It was developed by LucasArts, a game development studio started by Star Wars creator George Lucas, and marked the end of the studio’s golden age.

The player controls travel agent Manuel Calavera as he works his way through the Aztec underworld. Drawing inspiration from films like Casablanca and The Maltese Falcon, Grim Fandango contains some of the funniest writing and characters featured in any game, and is well worth the price of admission.

The remastered version features slightly improved graphics, a rerecorded score and a director’s commentary track.

The game is currently priced at $9.99 on both the App Store and Google Play store, though its price will rise to $14.99 after this week. The remastered version was originally released on PC, Linux, Mac and the PS4, and is also on sale on those platforms.
