Calgary’s MyParking app is now available on Android devices

After a long wait, the Calgary Parking Authority’s MyParking app is available on Android devices—its iPhone counterpart came out in 2012.

Similar to the iPhone experience, Android users will first need to log in and load funds in to their account before being able to pay at a ParkPlus lot. Once the app is preloaded with cash, users can start and stop parking sessions, manage the app’s low balance notifications, view past activity and payments and see, in real-time, parkade availability.

Mike Derbyshire, the CPA’s general manager, said in a press release, “Our cell phone customers have been asking us to build a MyParking app for Android for what seems like forever. Well, the time has come — it’s here and we know that our Android users will absolutely love it. They will notice the improvements immediately.”
