If you can make it to a physical Costco location today, you can grab a 100GB bring-your-own-device (BYOD) plan from either Virgin Plus or Fido. Personally, I would go with Fido because Virgin limits streaming video to standard definition, which I find a bit annoying since I watch a lot of videos on my phone.
If you can’t make it into a store, Virgin has the 100GB plan on its website. We can’t say for certain, but we expect more carriers to follow suit before the end of the day since they often compete quite heavily on Black Friday.
Beyond that, the retailer is also offering a 20GB plan for $29, which is a really nice price for more data than most people will actually use in a month. All of these plans are only available if you can bring your own phone.
If you want to get a new phone, there are a few deals, but they aren’t better in-store, so you’ll be better off grabbing them online to avoid the long wait time. When I went this morning, I spent a little over two hours in line to figure out what carriers were offering the 100GB BYOD plan.
If you are looking for a cheap home internet plan, Costco’s best offer is also with Virgin Plus. It’s $50/mo and it includes unlimited internet at 300Mbps, about $5/mo cheaper than what Virgin offers online.
